Understanding neurological rehabilitation

Anyone seeking improved mobility, pain relief, or improved/more efficient movement patterns or anyone who has experienced an event that has impacted their mobility will likely benefit from neurological therapy.

Patients admitted to our inpatient rehabilitation hospital receive 24/7 care and a minimum of three hours of therapy per day for the management of multiple medical conditions that require physician oversight. The average length of stay for inpatient rehab ranges between 7 and 21 days depending on individual needs.

7-9 a.m. – Physician Rounds

8:30-9 a.m. – Breakfast

9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Physical / Occupational / Speech / Recreation / Therapy

12:30-1 p.m. – Lunch

1-4 p.m. – More Therapy

4-5 p.m. – Therapeutic Recreation Groups

5:30-6 p.m. – Dinner

6-7 p.m. – Therapeutic Recreation Groups

7-8 p.m. – Medications and Bedtime preparations

To begin, we will schedule an evaluation where your therapist will develop a customized treatment plan to meet your goals. After your evaluation, the following will be determined: 

  • Frequency, or how often you will attend therapy appointments such as twice a week
  • Duration, or the length of time that you will attend therapy such as 8 weeks

Visits will then be scheduled at your preferred time and location.
