Hospital InfoThe Post COVID-19 Rehabilitation program at Sheltering Arms is an outpatient rehabilitation program dedicated to meet the needs of people who have survived COVID-19 and are experiencing lasting symptoms related to the virus. Some people may have been hospitalized or been admitted to intensive care and are experiencing impairments related to mobility, cognition, and/or daily living. Many people who were never hospitalized may also experience impairments with shortness of breath, fatigue, or difficulty with memory and attention that may benefit from this program as well.

Common symptoms after COVID-19 recovery include, but are not limited to:
This program includes physical therapy, occupational therapy, and/or speech therapy services. Patients will be evaluated for additional needs as appropriate.
Each patient will be screened by our call center representatives when making an appointment. When calling to schedule an appointment, let the representative know you need services because you’re recovering from COVID-19.
Patients can only be seen in the clinic if they have met the following criteria:
If the patient does not meet the criteria to come into the clinic, Telehealth visits are recommended until he or she meets the requirements.
Please note: All insurances now cover Telehealth services including Medicare and Medicaid.
Post-COVID-19 services are offered both in-person at our Hanover and Bon Air outpatient clinics and via Telehealth. Specific therapists have been trained with additional education to best meet the needs of these patients.
