Speech Language Pathologist
The successful candidate will be responsible for the assessment and treatment of speech and language needs of adults with swallowing and/or speech language disorders. Requirements for this position include VA State licensure, SLP-CCC certification or eligible
Wound and Ostomy Care Nurse Specialist
The Wound and Ostomy Care Nurse Specialist will establish standards of care and clinical competencies to meet rehabilitative patient wound and ostomy care needs. The Wound and Ostomy Care Nurse Specialist will consult for complex wound and ostomy patients and take referrals from physicians and nurses according to the referral criteria of SAH and WOCN standards. In addition, the Wound and Ostomy Care Nurse Specialist will lead the development, coordination and monitoring of the hospital’s wound care program in order to improve clinical outcomes. Requirements include Current Virginia RN licensure, Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Completion of an accredited wound, ostomy and continence program (CWOCN strongly preferred), and 5+ years clinical experience, with at least 2 years experience in Wound and Ostomy care
Referral Nurse Liaison
The Referral Nurse Liaison is responsible for the evaluation, coordination and facilitation of the admission of patients into the Sheltering Arms continuum of services based on established program criteria, and for maintaining excellent relationships with area physicians and hospital-based case managers. Our Nurse Liaisons act as consultants, marketers, facilitators, collaborators, promoters, educators and practitioners in the course of their daily work. Successful candidates must possess a RN license with at least 2-3 years previous case management experience. Previous marketing experience is a plus.
Nurse Practitioner
The successful candidate will provide a variety of direct clinical services to inpatients, in collaboration with and under the direction of a PM&R physician, to promote the highest level of physical rehabilitation care. Applicants must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Nurse Practitioner, have at least 2 years of clinical experience post-licensure, have valid CPR certification, and exceptional communication skills. Hospital experience is strongly preferred.
